Biography

  • I was born in Putnum Connecticut and grew up in Chagrin Falls a small town outside Cleveland, Ohio.where I began playing drums at the age of five.I took lessons for many years and gave lessons for many more.I was the head of the percussion jazz section in my high school for two years and in the marching band for eight years.I joined my first real band in 1975 then in 1979 joined "Rizzo" that went on to win a contest that pushed us to the big shows and regular airplay on radio stations. After we moving to Dallas and produced another album the band separated ,Shorthly after I joined a touring band "One Night Stand" signing and exclusive contract with a Dallas based agency BDR Entertainment and traveling for several years, burned out and exhausted the project came to an end.. Next I joined forces with "Battalion" which played in Dallas for two years and produced two albums. During the transition period between bands I began DLP rehearsal studios in Dallas which I owned for two years.." Chaser" was the next project which lasted two years and produced one album.before it also came to an end.I then joined "Big German Thirst" a very original Dallas based band, they produced one very special album (one of my favorites) but after promoting and waiting frustration set in . I then opened a concert venue in 1991 named The Dallas Music Complex inc. which was a 3000 occupancy venue doing national concerts with great name artists such as Bob Dylan, Allanis Morrisette ,Steve Vai, Bush, Alice Cooper....However still wanting to plat and tour I sold the company and turned my attention to "Tin Henry" with a line-up of touring veterans I felt that I had found that magic, but after two years again ,the project fell through the cracks, but yielded yet one more album. It was then that I pieced together the current lineup of "Haggard" a very original sounding alternative band with a very melodic structure.
