Big German Thirst played from 1989 through 1996. The band played locally and in venues in Oklahoma and Louisiana. In October of 1991, the bands song "Drive" was included on a cd produced by 94.5 KDGE "The Edge", entitled "Cannibal Crabs Crawl to Kill. The band played anywhere from small clubs to three thousand seat venues. BGT played with such bands as Tripping Daisy at the Bomb Factory and Course of Empire, Billy Goat, Ten Hands to name a few. Two of the bands songs aired on the Eagle 97.1 and recieved great responce from the listeners. The band played at Dallas City Limits for a Live Broadcast on the Eagle 97.1. They also were the hosts for Dallas Music Videos television show on cable during which the bands video "god is us" was first aired.

The band recorded the album "Naked" featuring nine songs that were recorded and engineered by "Mike Gage" at Studio Southwest. Midwest Records manufactured the package.
